Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Visits at the Hardeman County Jail are all conducted via video visitation. All video visits are subjected to monitoring and recording. Inmates are responsible for filling out a visiting form and submitting it to the jail administrator before a visit will be allowed. Each visit are allowed a maximum of 4 individuals (including children). One visitor must be 18 years or older. The children’s names must also be included in the visiting form. Each inmate is allowed 1 1-hour visit per week.

Visiting hours will be Monday, Wednesday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Visitation will cease between the hours of 10:45am to 11:30am count time) and 2:45pm to 3:30pm (count time). Visitation will resume when count has cleared. No visitors will be accepted after 3:30pm. There will be no visitation on Tuesdays. Inmates with last names beginning with A through L will be allowed to receive visits

Monday and Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Inmates with last names beginning with M through Z will be allowed to receive visits Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Visits are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited and visits will occur as visitors arrive and check in.

Inmates can send and receive mail Monday through Saturday. All mail (incoming and outgoing) will be inspected for contraband items prior to delivery except for those received from the court, attorney of record, or public officials, where the mail shall be opened in the presence of the inmate.

No packages or any form of money (money orders, cash, personal checks) will be accepted. All mail should be properly addressed and legible with the sender’s and the receiver’s full name and address.

Those that do not comply with this will be returned to sender, placed in property, or destroyed. Mail should not contain any artwork.
