You can visit https://www.tn.gov/tbi/section/tennessee-sex-offender-registry to search for sex offenders in Sumner County. Because not all sex offenders comply with the registration law, you may find some records showing only previous residential addresses.

Bail and Bondsman

An inmate can be released from custody while awaiting trial as long as he can post bail. Bail is the money or property that the inmate must pledge to the court in exchange for his freedom. This ensures that he will come back when his trial starts. If he doesn’t, the money/property is lost.

If the inmate cannot post bail because he or his family cannot afford it, he can hire a bondsman to post bail on his behalf. The bondsman will charge 10% of the bail as his fee. This cannot be refunded.
