Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

The Burlington County Detention Facility offers contact and non-contact visitation for the inmates detained at this facility. Contact visitation is allowed for inmates who have been incarcerated for a period of 90 days and has met the requirements.

Non-contact visitation schedule:

A – L last names are allowed non-contact visitors on Monday and Wednesday.
M – Z last names are allowed non-contact visitors on Tuesday and Thursday.

Visits are scheduled to happen during the following hours: 9:30-11:30 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 5-8 p.m.

Contact visits are scheduled on weekends. Signing up for contact visits will start at 10:30am. During Saturdays, there are 3 sessions and inmates with last names beginning with A – L are allowed visitors. The sessions are 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 3:30pm.

During Sundays, there are 3 sessions and inmates with last names beginning with M – Z are allowed visitors. The sessions are 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

Children below 18 will not be allowed to visit unless the inmate is the parent of the child. They will not be counted as visitors on the list. However, no more than 2 babies or children will be allowed. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Identification (i.e. birth certificate, current passport) will be required for each child.

In New Jersey, the cash bail system is no longer used.
