Sex Offender Search and Lookup:

A sex offender is a person who has been found guilty of a sexually oriented offense such as prostitution, child pornography, and rape. The law mandates that such an offender must have his information filed in the state sex offender registry and the national sex offender database. In Atlantic County, you can locate sex offenders in the area by visiting the Sheriff’s Alert page. It is important that you remember that you may find records that only list the last known addresses of offenders. This is because not all of them comply with the registration law.

Bail and Bondsman

In New Jersey, a new bail system has been implemented. If a person is charged with a crime in this state, his data will be entered into a risk assessment tool which will score the individual’s likelihood of committing another crime or fleeing from the law. A high score will result in the individual getting detained until trial. A low score, on the other hand, will mean the possibility of being released temporarily while awaiting trial. A person with a low score may or may not be monitored by the courts.
