Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates at the Emmet County Correctional Facility are encouraged to maintain contact with family and friends through visitation. Visitors need to be on the inmate’s approved visitors list in order to visit. All visitors must be 18 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian whose name appears on the list. A valid photo identification is required.

Each inmate is allowed one appointment for a family visit. An appointment must be scheduled prior to visiting day. Visitors are not allowed to visit on both Thursday and Saturday.

The visitation schedule is as follows:

General Visitation Day is on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm.

Family Visitation Day is on Thursdays from 1pm to 4:30pm.

Inmates are only allowed to receive letters, postcards, and five photos no larger than 4″x6″, money orders, and legal correspondence. All incoming mail is inspected for contraband. Letters sealed or decorated with perfume, glue, lipstick, stickers, or items will not be delivered to the inmate; it will be placed in the inmate’s personal property instead.

Bail and Bondsman
