Important Jail Policies and Procedures

Montrose County Jail doesn’t allow face-to-face visitations. The facility only allows video visitations via Securus Video Visitation. Both on-site and remote visitations are permitted. On-site visits are limited to ten minutes per inmate, per week. Remote visits don’t have any time limitations, but they will only be available as offered by the Securus website. All visits will be recorded and monitored. Visitations must be scheduled in advance. Scheduled visits can be canceled any time without prior notice by Administration or the Detention Supervisor citing security or other factors.

There is no way to send money to inmates incarcerated in the facility electronically. Money must be delivered in person to the jail. No money orders, personal checks, credit/debit cards will be accepted.

Bail and Bondsman

The Montrose County Jail only accepts cash and or surety bonds. Property bonds aren’t accepted. Cash bonds are set by the court, and an additional $10 is also added to the Cash bonds as bonding fee. Inmates are also charged $30 booking fee that must be paid before release.
