Service and Responsibilities:

The Superior Court of Skamania County takes responsibility for hearing both the Civil and Criminal cases. Services and Responsibilities:

The District Court of Skamania County has limited jurisdiction over criminal misdemeanor cases, gross misdemeanor cases, infraction, small claims, all traffic and non-traffic infractions, name change, anti-harassment, domestic violence, and civil lawsuits involving amounts up to $100,000. Besides, the District Court of Skamania County also manages cases filed under the jurisdiction of Stevenson Municipal Court and North Bonneville Municipal Court.

Services and Responsibilities:

The County Clerk is an elected official, also titled as Clerk of the Superior Court, responsible for the administrative and financial functions of the Superior Court. The responsibilities include, criminal, civil, family law, probate, guardianship, paternity, adoption, and juvenile matters. Besides, the County Clerk acts as a financial officer for the court, responsible for collecting statutory fees and fines, victim restitution, and maintains the court’s trust account. Furthermore, the Clerk also oversees jury management as well as provides passport services.
