The District Court of Kitsap County is takes responsibilities on the matters that includes, Traffic, non-traffic and parking infractions, misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor crimes, limited civil actions, preliminary hearings in felony cases, small claims up to $5,000, civil actions involving $100,000 or less, protection against unlawful harassment cases and miscellaneous cases. Services and Responsibilities:

The County Clerk is an elected official, also titled as ex-officio Clerk of the Court, responsible for the administrative and financial functions of the Superior Court. The responsibilities include, criminal, civil, family law, probate, guardianship, paternity, adoption and juvenile matters. Besides, the County Clerk acts as a financial officer for the court, responsible for collecting statutory fees and fines, victim restitution, and maintains the court’s trust account. Furthermore, the Clerk also serves as Quasi-judicial Officer and Jury Commissioner, providing services such as issuing writs, warrants of arrest, letters testamentary, and jury management services for all Kitsap County courts, including district and municipal courts.
