  • In February 2009, the Sheriff’s Office moved the county jail to the new facility on Larry R. Busby Drive. The new jail will hold up to 96 inmates. This facility allows the Sheriff’s Office to not only handle the inmates from Live Oak and McMullen Counties, but allows the county to house inmates from federal and other jurisdictions. This additional housing of inmates has brought the county an increased revenue.
  • Visitation is on Saturdays and Sundays except for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
  • Female inmates have visitation from 9 AM to 11 AM. With visitation for 30 minutes.
  • Separation inmates have visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM. With visitation for 30 minutes.
  • Male inmates have visitation from 1 PM to 5 PM. With visitation for 30 minutes.
