Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates at the Codington County Regional Detention Center are allowed to receive visitation. Pre-trial or unsentenced inmates have visitation on Mondays and Fridays from 12nn to 4pm. On Wednesdays, only immediate family will be allowed to visit from 12nn to 4pm. Sentenced inmates, on the other hand, have visitation on Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm and Thursday from 12nn to 4pm ad 7pm to 9pm. Only immediate family can visit a sentenced inmate on Sundays from 12nn to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.

Juveniles detained in the facility is allowed to receive visits from immediate family members any time except during meal times (11am and 5pm) and during adult visitation.

Visitors are allowed one 15-minute visit per session. Inmates are allowed two 15-minute visits per session but from different visitors. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during the visit. Anyone who has been incarcerated in the facility within the last 6 months or is currently on probation or parole will not be allowed to visit.
