Sex Offender Search and Lookup:
All sex offenders are ordered by law to register in the state sex offender database as well as the national sex offender registry. A person is considered a sex offender if he has been found guilty of a sexually motivated offense such as rape, child molestation, and child pornography. Everyone can access the state sex offender registry at if they want to look for sex offenders in Oktibbeha County.
Keep in mind that not all the information in the database can be guaranteed as accurate. The disclaimer provided explains this. Sometimes, you may get search results showing only the last known addresses of offenders. In some cases, you may even get incomplete addresses.
Bail and Bondsman
The money or property pledged with the court in exchange for granting an inmate’s release while he waits for trial is called bail. This is part of the defendant’s guarantee to the court that he will return for the trial once it starts. If he fails to appear, the court keeps the money/property.
In Oktibbeha County, a bondsman can be hired if you cannot come up with the money to post bail. For a fee equal to 10% of the bail, the bondsman will act as a surety. This means that he can secure your release and will be held responsible for paying the entire bond if you fail to appear before the court.
