he Genesee County Jail is a direct supervision facility with a maximum capacity of 580 inmates and a daily population of 580 to 620 inmates. The Flint City Lockup is a linear supervision facility that is also operated by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office. It has a maximum capacity of 110 inmates.

Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates at the Genesee County Jail are afforded the privilege of video visitation. All inmates are allowed two 20-minute non-contact onsite visits per week. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior using the provided Securus visitation unit. To schedule a visit, the following information must be provided:
