Important Jail Policies and Procedures:
Arraigned inmates are allowed visitation once a week. Each visit is 15 minutes. Each inmate is allowed a maximum of 4 visitors at a time. Male inmates are allowed visitors Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1:00PM – 4:00PM. Female inmates are allowed visitors Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00PM – 4:00PM. No visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed unless approved by the Sheriff. All phones are subject to recording and monitoring.
All visitors must have a valid state pictured ID. Cell phones, candy, food, and drinks are not allowed inside the visitation area.

An entry level Deputy Sheriff is paid an hourly wage of $19.66. The ceiling wage for this position is $23.89 per hour. A Deputy Sheriff is expected to perform the following functions: patrolling areas within the county, maintaining peace and order, investigating crime, enforcing laws, and providing motorist assistance.
To become a Deputy Sheriff, you must meet the basic requirements for this position which are:
