Warren County is in the west portion of Illinois. The county seat is Monmouth. As of the 2010 census, the population was 17,707. The county is named for Joseph Warren. Warren was killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill in 1775. He is believed to ben the first officer killed in the Revolutionary War.
