Sex Offender Search and Lookup:

Federal law mandates that sex offenders must submit their information with the State Police Department located in the county they are currently residing in. It is then entered in the state and national sex offender registries to increase public safety and awareness. A person who has been convicted of a sexually motivated offense such as rape, child molestation, and prostitution is classified as a sex offender. You can visit

if you want to find sex offenders living in West Virginia. Bear in mind that you may, at times, get records of offenders that only show their last known address. This is because not all offenders notify law enforcement of the changes in their information.

Bail and Bondsman

The money or property that you sign over to court in exchange for the temporary release of a pretrial inmate is called bail. This is used to ensure that the defendant will return once the trial starts and will comply with all of the terms and conditions of his release. If he does not, the money or property will be forfeited.

A defendant who cannot post bail due to a lack of funds can still get released from jail with the help of a bondsman. A bondsman charges 10% of the bail as his fee. This cannot be refunded.
