Service and Responsibilities:
The Court of Common Pleas is a trial court of general jurisdiction resolving a wide variety of cases. The Courts of Common Pleas are responsible for all matters involving adult criminal cases, juvenile delinquency cases, lawsuits involving money or property, divorce, custody disputes, child support issues, juvenile dependency cases, estates, guardianships, and adoptions. Besides, the Court of Common Pleas also oversees judicial oversight to Court Administration, Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, the Domestic Relations Section, the Court Transcription Unit, Protection from Abuse Office, the Court Interpreting Unit, the Child Custody Office, and the Law Library.

Services and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Lehigh County Court Administrative Office is to manage the non-judicial functions or duties of the court subject to the supervision and direction of the President Judge by applying extensive managerial and administrative skills in order to serve effectively as the organizational arm of the court. The Court Administrator’s responsibilities include personnel and fiscal management, calendar or scheduling management, information systems management, facilities and equipment management, records control, public information, and jury management. Besides, the Court Administrator’s Office also oversees all court-related departments Judiciary such as; Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, Domestic Relations, Magisterial District Court personnel, the Law Library, the Court Transcription Unit, and court staff personnel.

The Recorder of Deeds Office is responsible for recording, protecting, preserving, and reproducing legal documents related to real estate in Lehigh County.
