In the West Feliciana Parish Jail, inmates are allowed to visit with family and friends. A valid photo ID must be presented to the jail staff upon signing in for a visitation. A parent or legal guardian must be accompanying a minor who wishes to visit. A search will be conducted by the jail staff on the person of a visitor. Any personal items will not be allowed inside the facility except for the ID and car keys. A dress code is strictly followed by the jail staff. A Detention Officer in the West Feliciana Parish Jail may be offered a starting salary of $32,100. The state supplemental pay of $6000 a year is only available to officers who have served at least one entire year with the Sheriff’s Office and has received POST-certification.
