Inmate visitation is according to the following schedule:

Cell Block #300 (Female inmates) – Fridays, 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Cell Blocks #400, #500, & #700 – Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Cell Block #600 – Saturdays, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Cell Block #200 – Saturdays, 2:0 0PM to 4:00 PM

Cell Block #100 – Sundays, 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Funds can be deposited into an inmate’s account through money orders. Money Orders (NO checks or cash) must be in by 12:00 PM Mondays, sent by mail or brought on the inmate’s scheduled visitation day.

An entry level correctional officer working in the DeSoto Parish Jail can earn $32,100 a year. After the first year, the officer may be eligible for a State Supplemental Pay worth $6000 provided that he is also post-certified. The duties in this position include booking inmates, monitoring inmate activities, initiating disciplinary reports, conducting inspections of cells, and maintaining peace and order inside the facility.
