If you wish to locate sex offenders in Tennessee, you can visit here. Anyone using the registry must keep in mind that some offenders may fail to register their information. This could result in previously known addresses appearing in your search results.

Bail and Bondsman

A charged individual can secure his release from custody or jail if the court grants him bail. Bail can be simply the signing of a bond that states the individual’s promise to appear before the court during his trial. Other types of bail will require money or property lodged with the court to serve as a guarantee. The individual (or whoever signs the bond) will lose the money or property if the defendant misses a court appearance. In some cases, the defendant will not be able to afford the bail in which case, he or she can hire a bondsman to act as a surety. The bond will be paid by the bondsman if the defendant misses a court appearance. In return, the defendant must pay him/her 10% of the bail amount and this is non-refundable.
