Bucks county is the fourth most populous county in the state and 98th in the country.  The county seat is in Doylestown and the largest city is Bensalem.  It was established in 1682 by William Penn and named for the county of Buckinghamshire in England.  This is where General Washington set off on his trek across the Delaware River to face battle in Trenton, New Jersey during the Revolutionary War.
