Visitors to general population inmates are required to be logged in at the Ashland County Jail 30 minutes prior to the end of visitation hours. Visitors who are 16 years of age or older must present a valid photo ID. Younger visitors are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visitors are not allowed to bring purses, bags, jackets, food, drinks, cups, bottles, packages, and cans to the visitation room. In addition, electronic devices are not allowed inside the building. They are also required to dress appropriately. Inappropriate clothes include tank tops, muscle t-shirts, provocative tops, wording or pictures on clothes, short skirts, spaghetti straps, and skirts/dresses that are cut above the knee.
