Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates at the St. Joseph County Jail are allowed visitation. Each visitor must be at least 14 years old and have picture identification. Visitors are only allowed a maximum of 30 minutes in the lobby prior to the start of visiting hours. Each inmate is allowed two 30-minute visits each week with a maximum of 2 people per visit. Visits are on a first come, first serve basis. Inmates must provide the jail the name of 5 people on his approved visitors’ list each month. Individuals must have their names on the list in order to visit.
