Inyo California

The population of the county according to the 2010 census was 18,546 and the county seat is called Independence and the largest city is Bishop. The county is located at the east side of Sierra Nevada and it is flanked west towards Sierra Mountains. It was founded in 1866 and its total area is 10,227 square miles, which is the second largest in California. About half of the county is within Death Valley National Park.  The county sheriff takes responsibility in keeping everyone safe.
