Bear in mind that you will need to first read the disclaimer provided thoroughly before using the database. You may find that some records in the registry only show last known addresses of offenders.
Bail and Bondsman
The money or property a defendant lodges with the court is called bail and is used to secure his release from jail while the trial is pending. Bail is then used by the court to secure the defendant’s compliance with fulfilling his court obligations. Failure to comply will mean forfeiting the bail.
If the defendant cannot afford the bail, he can secure his release through a bail bondsman instead. A bondsman can act as a surety, guaranteeing payment to the court if the defendant skips bail. The cost for this kind of service is usually 10% of the bail amount. It cannot be refunded.
