Service and Responsibilities:

The Clerk of the Circuit Court is responsible for the safe-keeping of the records that relate to all Circuit and Family Court matters which include, foreign support cases, custody and child support cases, guardianships, adoptions, name changes, infant guardianship/settlement, supreme court appeals, forfeiture, civil appeals, civil cases, juvenile cases, divorce cases, restitution payments, court appointment to criminal cases and criminal cases. Besides, the Circuit Clerk holds responsibility for all papers filed in the office, i.e. taking part as registrar, recorder and custodian of all pleadings, documents and funds pertaining to cases or appeals filed in the circuit court.
