Service and Responsibilities:
The Office of the Clerk of Court is responsible for filling and keeping detailed criminal court records and assessing, collecting, disbursing restitution and court costs, and taking charge as collections agency for various taxes in conjunction with the Chester County Adult Probation and Parole Department. These records and fillings are not limited to criminal, summary appeals, juvenile, dependency, constable, bail bonds. Besides, the Clerk of Courts Office also maintains custody of all records, support and attend each court sessions, collect and disburse fines, costs, and fees, summary appeal cases fees, provide open access to public court records, prepare motor vehicle forms for PennDOT, filing of road dockets, report statistical & financial data, docket all criminal records filed, maintain constable bonds, private detective licensing, administer oaths, assemble juries and accept posting of bail.

Services and Responsibilities:
The Register of Wills Office is responsible for validating wills and permit administration letters when persons die without leaving a will. The Office maintains records of wills, inventory of estates, and other miscellaneous documents. The Register of Wills Office also acts as a Commonwealth’s agent for collecting inheritance tax.
