The Bradford County Court Administration Office is responsible for assisting the president judge in all necessary duties to effectively administer the judicial system and guide cases through our several courts. Additionally, the responsibilities of the Court Administration includes; Budget management, Procurement of supplies and services, HR management, Recruiting and Hiring, Training and Evaluating, Monitoring court employees, Creating and maintaining the annual court calendar, Case flow management, Implementing policies and rules set by the Supreme Court, and finally, Supervision of magisterial district courts of Bradford County.

Services and Responsibilities:

The Register and Recorder’s Office’s primary responsibility is to accurately record real estate transactions such as deeds, mortgages, attorneys’ power, satisfaction pieces, oil leases, ordinances, assignments, and releases of mortgages. The Office is also a collection agency for the Department of Revenue for the Realty Transfer Tax, school districts, and municipalities. Additional responsibilities include Marriage licenses, Adoptions, Relinquishments, Settlements, Guardianships, Birth and death records (1893 through 1905), Genealogy letters, Deed and mortgage indexes. Besides, the Office is also in charge of the Register of Wills, responsible for collecting inheritance tax.
