Important Jail Policies and Procedures:
Inmates at the Clark County Detention Center are allowed one 50-minute visit per week, except for Maximum custody inmates. These individuals are allowed one 50-minute visit every two weeks. Each inmate is allowed 3 visitors at a time. To schedule a visit, you can log on to.

Sex Offender Search and Lookup:
Federal law stipulates that a sex offender must provide his information to local law enforcement to be filed in the state sex offender database and the national sex offender database. This is used to help increase public awareness and safety. A sex offender is someone who has a conviction for a sexually oriented offense such as rape, prostitution, and child pornography. Residents of Clark County can use the Sheriff’s Alert page to locate sex offenders in their area. Keep in mind that not all offenders submit their information. As such, you may find that some records only show last known addresses.
Bail and Bondsman
If a person is charged with a criminal offense in Clark County, the court may grant the defendant temporary freedom from custody while he awaits trial if bail is posteed. This is the amount of money set by the court which it will use to guarantee the defendant will appear in court once the trial starts. The money is returned, minus fees, if the defendant complies with all of the court’s orders. Failure to appear will mean forfeiture of the money.
A defendant who lacks funds for bail can get a bondsman to post bail on his behalf. A bondsman charges 10% of the bail amount for his services as a surety. The fee is non-refundable.
