Services and Responsibilities:

The County Clerk is the official record-keeper of the County. The Clerk’s office is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day operations, including but not limited to County accounts payable, Circuit Court records, Births, Marriages, Deaths, Military Discharges, Issue county liquor, and auctioneer licenses, concealed pistol permits, election administration, payroll, and employee benefits. The County Clerk is also the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. This includes creating the Board agendas, scheduling appearances, and presentations for the Board, and taking the minutes of those meetings. In Addition, the Clerk is also responsible for voter registration and campaign finances. Receive bids and file copies of bids and notices and swear in notaries and certify to state.
