Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Visitation days for inmates at the Cheboygan County Jail are Sundays and Wednesdays. The schedule is as follows:

Sunday – 8am to 5pm

Wednesday – 5pm to 10:30pm

Each inmate is allowed 1 30-minute visit per visiting day. All visitors must be properly and completely dressed. An inmate is allowed a maximum of 2 visitors at a time. All visitors must be 17 years old or accompanied by a parent or guardian. All visitors must sign in the visitors’ log and provide a valid photo ID.

Inmates are allowed to receive mail such as money orders, photos, commercially printed religious materials, magazines and soft cover books. Books and magazines must be sent directly from the publisher. Stamps, extra envelopes, sexually exploited pictures, cash, checks, jewelry, food items are not allowed.
