Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates at the Miller County Detention Center are allowed to visit with family and friends. Visiting takes place on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, from 6 – 8 pm. A detainee is allowed to visit every other week on pre-established days according to the visitation schedule. The detainee is scheduled based upon the first letter of his/ her last name. No more than two adults and two children are allowed to visit at one time. All adults must have a photo ID in order to visit.

All visitors must be fully dressed. Revealing clothing, see through clothing, shorts or halter tops are not allowed. Visits are fifteen minutes in duration.

There are four ways to put money on a detainee’s account:

  1. Drop off a money order to the information desk, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Make sure that the detainee’s name is written on the money order.
  2. In the Lobby: There is a Tiger Commissary Kiosk machine in the lobby of the Miller County Detention Center. It is available 24 hours a day. There is a two dollar ($2) transaction fee.
  3. U.S. Mail: You can mail a money order to the inmate. Cash will not be accepted. You may mail it to the address below:

Federal law states that sex offenders must notify local law enforcement of any changes in his/her information. These changes must be recorded in their files within the state and national sex offender registries.
